SPRING IT ON
Well, the groundhog was right ... 6 more weeks of winter it was indeed. A few weeks ago I remember waking up to a gorgeous sunrise and 75 degrees. I decided to place the beautiful purple tulips from my husband out on our patio to let them be sun kissed. Well, it wasn't too long after (about an hour) that it was cold a dreary outside, a whoppin' 30 degrees. The next thing you know (memory lapse on my part to bring the tulips back inside) they didn't survive the crazy weather. Despite the loss of my pretty flowers, I think it's safe to say now that Spring is finally here, hence the post title "Spring It On." It's my favorite season ... from the camping trips, to the fishing, to the beautiful weather, and the start of our Lenten journey, this time of year always brings my heart JOY.
Driven, set out to blog once a month, I created our family blog back in 2010. I did good for a while ... 4 years good actually ... until now. It seems that I underestimated the whole "mom" thing and finding time to blog. So, here I sit, three months since my previous post, finally "making" time (sort of, as I have a to do list a mile long that I've put aside for a moment).
Needless to say, the past three months have flown by without a post but have been great. We wake up blessed each and every day. Here's a snap shot:
Wrigley's Update
1. Wrig started walking two days before his first birthday, all it took was a balloon for him to chase after!
2. He took his first big fall off of our bed onto the hard wood floor ... a good 2.5 -3 foot drop. Tears were shed on both his and my part but everything was OK, luckily Chad was still here and rushed out of the shower to see what happened...managing to keep calm while Wrig and I were hysterical ...
3. He can make all of his animal sounds ... my favorite is the frog "arrrrit" and the elephant says "buhhhrrrr" (arm goes up like the trunk!)... Mommy says "I love you" and Daddy says "Getchoo, getchoo"
4. Wrig got a new hair cut to kick off the Lenten season
5. He LOVES his trucks, cars, and all kinds of bouncy balls ...
6. He is learning his colors really well by taking colored baths!
7. He knows the name of "things", too...like pillow = "puh-wee", ball = "BAH!", car = "CAH!", milk = "meeewk", grape = "guh-wee", M&M's = "emm-emm", chocolate = "emm-emm", juice = "joooz", daddy's truck = "daddy truck," etc.
8. He can tell you he is 1 year old when asked, by holding up 1 finger!!!
9. He seemingly has only one click on his volume dial and that is medium-loud to loud ... not much less than that ... his hearing is just fine; we think he just loves the sound of his angelic little voice!
10. ... almost as much as he loves to look at his reflection, argue with his reflection, scare his reflection, be scared of the reflection, and sneak up on his reflection in the mirror....Gee, I wonder where he gets that from!?!?
11. His little heart is continually full for he is never without a smile (well, almost never), laughs and laughs, gives hugs and kisses freely and LOVES loves loves Jesus (Jeeeesis!) ... he can be heard speaking His name anytime he sees a cross ... very proud & thankful parents for this one.
Chad's Update

3. House projects & craft making (not that kind :) ) galore ... organizing, rearranging, painting, building, painting something else, overhauling the garage, ect ... it's never ending but I love it.
